Brazilian Cherry coloring varies from salmon-red to orange brown and becomes deeper and richer as it ages. This magnificent wood with its interlocking grain is extremely dense and durable, characteristics that ensure your floor will stay beautiful for a long time. Brazilian Cherry features striking red, orange and brown hues and brilliant woodgrain patterns that will transform any room. With its inherent beauty, rich coloring, and extreme hardness, this species is understandably one of our most popular exotic woods. In addition to its warm reddish tint, this moderately lustrous wood is notable for its hardness and durability — Brazilian Cherry is an extremely dense wood and very strong. In view of its high density and interlocked grain, Brazilian cherry is difficult to saw and plane; however, it sands nicely to a smooth surface. Due to its hardness, nailing may require pre-drilling and adjustment of the angle of penetration. Top Layer Thickness: 3 mm. Seven coats of aluminum oxide enhanced, water-based polyurethane finish.
