High heels, pet nails, dropped heavy objects, furniture legs, etc. will dent wood flooring. The best solution is prevention: remove high heels, trim pet nails, and use felt protectors on furniture legs. A satin finish instead of a glossy finish will reduce the appearance of dents and scratches. Otherwise you will have to refinish the floors in order to get out the dents.
